rainy weather during the winter months, just a short hop over the mountains will bring you to warmer sunny weather almost every time!

Recently, the Great Wine Capitals Global Network honored our region as providing the most “Innovative Wine Tourism Experience”.
The panel of judges hailed the quality of the wine experiences as well as their great value and noted the absence of cutting corners
even in these lean economic times. We see this recognition as testament to and support of the one-on-one attention we love giving to
all our guests!

Lately, the foreign press has raised serious concerns over travel to South Africa…focusing mainly on the issues of price gouging and
personal safety. As a group, we are deeply committed to providing accurate information in order for our guests to make well- informed,
sound travel plans.

Here are our honest opinions on the main concerns raised from abroad.

Security issues:  As any experienced traveler knows, large cities - even in countries deemed safe - present risks to one’s personal security.
Here in the countryside, it is a rarity that crimes against persons would be experienced by visitors to our area. Even in the larger
metropolitan areas, if one follows several simple rules you will find your stay an enjoyable one.
Don’t flaunt valuables in plain sight.
No fancy jewelry.
Never walk alone especially in unfamiliar and/or dark areas.
Ask your hosts for pertinent local information… safe vs. unsafe areas, best modes of transportation, etc.

High Prices: Yes, there will be those who take the short-term view and will be charging unreasonable rates, hoping to cash in.
Take the time to compare rates and discover areas in the countryside, such as ours, to select as your 2010 World Cup holiday headquarters.
Here, we aim to provide our guests with fair and reasonable rates. We want to see you back again and again!

Transportation:  Plan ahead!  Ask prospective hosts and/or your travel agent if transportation is included and inquire about distances
and travel times to events from your lodgings.  If transportation is not included… will they provide it for an additional fee?
Or do they know of any alternative arrangements that can be made?

In South Africa there are 11 official languages in which to say hello!

We are looking forward to greeting one and all in at least 13 new ways…….
Salaam alekum! - Hola! - Hello! - Olá! - Salut! - Hej! - Hallo! - Geia sou! - Ciao! - Ahn nyeong ha se yo! - Zdravo! - Ahoj! - Zivjo!
