De Kaap Restaurant
De Kaap is a beautifully restored 1880 Cape Georgian Farmhouse with a charming potager and veranda with scenic mountain vistas. Set in the vineyards of the Mc Gregor valley it captures the quirky charm of contemporary Cape Decor and cuisine. Serving delicious Cape country food using local and seasonal ingredients."good country food with a local flair" is its style. Summer includes Salads from our Garden, a Gourmet Springbok Burger, ' Local style "Ploughman'splatter of olives, sundried tomatoes, grilled aubergine, Boerenkaas & relish, west coast Mussels in curried Malay broth. Savoury tarts with Organic salad, pan fried baby calamari.
Dinner includes slow cooked Moroccan Lamb Shanks, Aged Rib eye steak on Risotto, Fresh Grilled line fish.. to name a few items on our menu. The menu is small but there is always something for everyone, our food is very fresh and prepared daily. We serve delicious home made desserts, Chocolate Torte, Pear & Almond Frangipane, Lemon Tart, Poached seasonal fruit with ice cream or homemade custard. Situated 15 km from Robertson on the road to McGregor - 2,5 km before the village of McGregor.
Open: Thursdays to Sundays for lunch, Thursdays to Saturdays for Dinners 7pm-10pm Saturday & Sunday we also do breakfast.
Corkage is R30 or R20 for locals.
Wine list :Only local wines from the Robertson and Mc gregor valley.
Beer served: Birkenhead Beer,Windhoek Larger and Windhoek Light.

Seating for 26 inside, 16 on covered patio and 32 on Wine covered patio.
The ambiance of the restaurant is contemporary country, we do except Visa and Mastercard, Smoking is permitted on our patio, we have plenty of parking available. Bookings need to be made for the evenings (Thursday- Saturdays) and Sunday's for lunch. We have been open since April 2011.
