...of Ashton Kelder you will see the rolling hills to the valley under the open skies. Thanks to the rich soil provided by nature, rows of vineyards are flanked by melon fields and orchards bearing pears, peaches, apricots and soft naartjies. Generations of farming families have worked and loved the land of the Valley, and in the same way we love to share it with you.

Our Wines
Our elegant, fruity wines are crafted for every palate and every occasion. The vineyards are planted in different soil types, from the slopes of the Langeberg Mountains, to the banks of the Breede River, as well as drier areas, instilling the grapes with a medley of flavours. We make wines to enjoy, and to compliment your life and style.

Collection
The name Ashton Kelder is synonymous with a wide range of wines. The Ashton Kelder range includes dry, white, red, semi-sweet and fortified wines. Our everyday wines are Satynrooi, Satynwit and Satynrose. An award-winning reserve range delights the connoisseur, with our famous Roodewal blend as forerunner. The two sparkling wines we produce are named after roses: Bonica Vin Doux as pink as its name, and Pascali Brut, crisp and clean.

Export Selection
Specially selected wines for the international market are bottled under the Ashton Kelder, Berryfields and Mountain Stream labels. This three-tier range of wines is selectively sourced selected from our member farms where vineyards are under constant scrutiny to ensure the the best quality is made available to you.

De-Ionised Grape Concentrate
The cellar has the only deionised concentrate production facility in South Africa, where grapes are processed into a concentrate, which is then supplied to the fruit canning, food beverage and wine industries. Our grape concentrate is natamycin-free,which makes it perfect for export.

When Visiting...
Be sure to play a game of chess on our giant board, or ask your tasting room assistant for a tour of the 20 000 ton capacity cellar. A jungle gym is available for the kids,while the parents relax with a glass of our famous Chardonnay Unwooded. Wind down with a picnic basket under the trees and a bottle of our Satynrosè the perfect companion for an afternoon break.
